Minutes

In attendance: Sarah, Trent, Ryan, Jenny, Brittney, Tiffany, Eric

Motion to approve minutes: Sarah. 2nd by Eric. Approved by all

• Literacy night went well:     STEM Night on March 13th

• Fundraiser raised over $4,000
  • To be used for Y room activities during lunch recess and art supplies for indoor recess activities for Y badge students
• RISE review, K-3 Literacy review, and school report card review
• Early Literacy Routines: K-3
  • LCSD–highest percentage of students scoring blue in the state of Utah in Kinder
    • 1-3, all in top 10
• Holiday/Winter program: maybe in the Tabernacle? Singing, orchestra, etc. 
  • January–later in January

Summary of previous safety concerns and proposed solutions

• Visibility:
  • Folding sign near kindergarten entrance: no cars, busses only
  • Update signs near parking lot entrances 
  • Eric–School funding to complete
• Having adults at the parking lot entrances: probably not, Eric will talk to Detective Johnson to get ideas of what to do
• Canva presentation:
  • Sarah and Trent
    • Will need a list of languages spoken at Wilson to get it translated
    • First draft by Jan. meeting

Request city person to come to a SCC meeting, then do a study–contact through the police department

• Tiffany will contact PD to figure out the correct contact

District is looking at putting brochures of LCSD into doctors/dentists/real estate offices to better broadcast the good of LCSD
